Floorball was introduced by Mr. Edward Lim soon after he came back from an International Sports Conference held in Hong Kong, early November 2002. The game began its debut in Penang beginning December 2002 with a small group of youth playing the street version. From there, it grew rapidly and soon became the hottest "recreational" game amongst youth and young adults.
To date, floorball is being played almost every day in different places within Penang - clubs, schools, basketball courts, badminton courts, multipurpose halls and even rooftop of parking lots. Thus, many clubs and groups were formed. Friends brought friends who brought more friends into the Penang floorball scene. There are about 800-1000 who have been introduced to the game and most of them playing actively in the state league and inter school competitions.
PFA has also been successful in sending our players to the national team for the past 10 years.
From just a recreational game, floorball has now become a sport in the eyes and heart of the young people. It is believed that this one sport will grow in magnitude
